TINY GLASS TAVERN (featuring Sophie Michaux)

TINY GLASS TAVERN is an eclectic, cross-genre ensemble based in Massachusetts.

Led by vocalist Sophie Michaux, Tiny Glass Tavern features a rotating constellation of performers, presenting a broad selection of music that spans genres and languages. Tiny Glass Tavern is a joyful celebration of musical variety, texture, and experimentation.

A typical Tiny Glass Tavern performance is intimate and interactive – that’s the tavern part. With a vividly-colorful and expressive instrument, Michaux herself has performed across the country with the Haymarket Opera Company, Lorelei Ensemble, Roomful of Teeth, and more.
Tiny Glass Tavern’s debut albumLet Us Dance, Let Us Singcame out on PARMA Recordings in April 2025. So pull up a chair, take off your coat, and let them pour you a tiny glass of something delightful, unexpected, and wonderful.

Shpilkis & A Gleyzele Tey: Potluck and Music

Potluck, A Gleyzele Tey, and Shpilkis

Potluck starts at 5:30

Music starts at 6:30

Shpilkis is Seattle’s slammin’ klezmer brass band bringing you old-school Yiddish grooves with tuchus-shaking energy.

A Glezele Tey (Yiddish for “a little glass of tea”) invites you into their living room for a little glass of tea from the samovar, bringing audiences into an intimate and enthralling world of klezmer, Yiddish folk song, and tkhines (traditional Ashkenazi prayers centering the experiences of women, trans, and gender non-conforming people, set to new melodies). Drawing from old recordings and contemporary culture rooted in the Eastern European Jewish diaspora, A Glezele Tey’s music is an act of deep care—rooted in community gathering, lineage, and ritual, we lift our collective voices to move through grief, inspire action, and build a frayer velt (a freer world).
