Ethel the Barn was created to help support and nurture artists. After a long teaching career, I wanted to create a space where singers and dancers and musicians and actors and poets could perform or develop their work. I wanted to help create a gathering space that would build community and deepen human bonds. So I bought a new house with a barn and with limited carpentry skills I set out to transform the space. I collected pallets from wherever I could find them. And I tore them apart, along with the walls and shelves of the barn, and a venue was born. So come on by or drop a line and become a part of our world.
